My Inspiration

I thank Toots and Sally Ride Again with inspiring me to start this slog. I discovered their blog while hanging out on the WordPress K2 forum (which is the software and theme I use on blogan.net).

Send your happy thoughts their direction. They'll need 'em -- they're training for a marathon.

Hey, thanks for the free promo...we're at the pinnacle of our training right now, and any encouragement is good encouragement. We'll keep checking in on you...so don't slack off!

Hey there. Congrats and good luck!!!

Be sure to follow along all the way to Paris on www.tootsandsally.com.

Hmmm...we might be in Portland in the near future. Well, Sally and I, at least.

Sally and Lumpy, welcome to my little exerslog. My mother is a marathoner, so I know a little of what you're going through. She ran her first marathon in Sacramento at age 75 and qualified for Boston, which of course, she ran. She's run the Sacramento marathon again. In fact, last I heard she was training for another.

Good luck in Paris (that sounds like quite an adventure), and hang in there with your training.

I hear Portland has a nice, beginner-friendly marathon. Lots of entertainment along the route and not too hilly. Maybe that could be your next marathon...

I don't plan on slacking off with my swimming. That's one of the reasons for my exerslog. Avoiding public humlitation is a good encouragement to keep going. ;-)

Hey, Toots! Of course you're doing Portland. You have lots of time to train. It's not until October 7. ;-)

Eeek! October 7th?

Maybe next year...

...if we can find a cheap place to stay. ;-)

Fishing for an invitation, huh? ;-)

I bet we could work something out. How many of you are coming?

Well past 10/7...

maybe next year...

Before that, though, we (as in Sally & Lumpy) do have a trip to Portland in the works...
